Service Description

Nose Work Introduction is a new class with a guest teacher! Kathryn has earned her UKC Elite Nose Work Title and will be teaching this class. The class is a beginner class to introduce dogs to an essential oil (birch). To learn how to read your dogs, and to start building a unification behavior, when the dog has located the source of the odor. Class instruction is geared towards nose work through the United Kennel Club but the skills learned will be applicable to any nose work organization. Weekly outline of class structure: 1) introduction to the sport, introduction to the odor 2) start adding in searching for odor 3) indication behavior 4) container searches 5) interior searches 6) exterior and vehicle searches
